President's Message:

I was reading a book recently and one of the subplots was about a storytelling event. In the book the main character was writing a brief history of storytelling and their own personal definition. Their definition was that we all make choices in our lives and consciously or unconsciously pattern choices after someone we admire.

This started me thinking about the story of Denton Altrusa. All of us have someone in Altrusa that we would like to pattern ourselves after. Someone who is an inspiration to us. Someone we can look up to with respect and admiration. Someone that challenges us to be better than we thought we could. I know I do.

 The story of Denton Altrusa is ongoing and changing with new ideas, new visions, new challenges. Future members will look and see someone who inspires them to new heights and they in turn will inspire those who come after them. That is why the story of Altrusa will continue to be written for a very long time.
